Octagen (“we”, “us”) is a web development, e-commerce, and performance marketing agency. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use octagen.io, including our contact forms, service pages, and the Free Store Growth Score tool.
Questions about this policy: info@octagen.io.
Information you give us. When you contact us or request a call, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the services you are interested in, and any message you write. On the Free Store Growth Score tool we collect the store URL you submit and, if you choose to share it, your email address so we can send the report.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Tag Manager on this site. Through it, analytics and advertising tools (such as Google Analytics and advertising platforms we run campaigns on) may collect technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate location. If you arrive from an ad, we may also store campaign identifiers such as a Google click ID (gclid) and UTM parameters so we know which campaign brought you here.
We use this information to reply to enquiries, prepare proposals, deliver the store score report, improve the website, and measure how our marketing performs. We do not sell your personal information.
If you become a client, we use the details you share with us to deliver the work we agreed — building sites, running campaigns, and reporting on results.
We share data only with services that help us run the site and respond to you: our own lead and automation systems, email, and the analytics and advertising platforms loaded through Google Tag Manager. Those providers process data under their own terms.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the people who use this site.
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to remember basic site behaviour and, through Google Tag Manager, to measure traffic and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop some measurement and advertising features from working, but the site itself will still load.
We keep enquiry and store-score details for as long as we need them to follow up with you and to keep a record of the conversation, then delete or anonymise them. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the tools we use.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@octagen.io. You can also opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those emails, or by writing to us.
Our tools and hosting providers may store data outside the country you live in. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer.
We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top of the page is the latest version.
